The Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Product Standards (DTI-BPS) informs the concerned sectors that the following standards have been adopte.

The DTI-BPS adopts the standards through the fast track method.

 FOOD SAFETY:

1. PNS ISO/TS 22002-1:2012 – Prerequisite programmes on food safety – Part 1: Food manufacturing ISO published 2009 ICS 67.020

 2. PNS ISO/TS 22002-3:2012 – Prerequisite programmes on food safety – Part 3: Farming   ISO published 2011 ICS 67.020

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

 3. PNS ISO 22006:2012 – Quality management systems – Guidelines for the application of ISO 9001:2008 to crop production ISO published 2009 ICS 67.020.03.120.10

The standards will promote a common understanding among concerned sectors and provide a level playing field for businesses as well as ensure the safety of the general public.
