Why Use the Portal?
| It facilitates a fast, efficient and cost-effective way of obtaining
extensive information on standards, conformity assessment requirements,
and other trade-related technical regulations/laws |
| It assists exporters and other stakeholders to know, understand and
meet standards and technical requirements of the products of their
target market(s); |
| It allows stakeholders to review and comment on the TBT notifications by the WTO and draft PNS developed by the BPS.

Who's behind the Portal?
The S&C Portal is administered by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Product
Standards (DTI-BPS), which is the National Standards Body of the Philippines and the WTO TBT Enquiry Point of the country.

| It was set up with technical assistance of the Republic of the
Philippines - European Union (RP-EU) Trade Related Technical Assistance
(TRTA) Programme and the USAID’s Economic Modernization through
Efficient Reforms and Governance Enhancement (EMERGE) Project, with
support from the Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (PHILEXPORT)
and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

Standards Catalog Online
The Catalog Online integrates both the catalog of published standards/technical regulations and the BPS technical programme of standards under development or the draft philippine national standards. From within the listing, the user can choose to switch between standards that are published, draft, or an integrated listing of both. A search mechanism is available for categorized se arching of interest.
The main section of the online catalog presents the complete listing of published and draft standards, classified by subject (ICS - International Classification for Standards) and Harmonized System (HS) Code. The aim of this approach is to provide optimum possibilities for the selection of standards/technical regulations interrelated by their subjects. The ICS and HS Concordance Table is updated according to needs.
If preferred, the user can select to browse lists sorted according ICS, search by PNS, search by product, list by HS and list by BPS technical committee responsible for the preparation and/or maintenance of the standards.
On your left, there's a menu under the Library and Information Center > Standards Catalog Online listing all the options on how you want to browse the catalog.

Foreign and International Standards Catalog
It also features links to online catalogs of the different foreign
national and international standards bodies to facilitate a faster and
more efficient way of getting other trade-related information.
