PNS on Glass in Buildings
The Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Product Standards (DTI-BPS) informs the concerned sectors that the following standards have been adopted as PNS.
The DTI-BPS adopts these standards through the Technical Committee on Glass and Glass Products (BPS/TC 28). The members of BPS/TC 28 are composed of representatives from the government, industry associations, manufacturers, and testing laboratories.
- PNS ISO 11479-1:2012 – Glass in building – Coated glass – Part 1: Physical defects (ISO Published 2011) with Addendum 1:2012 ICS 81.040.20
- PNS ISO 11479-2:2012 – Glass in building – Coated glass – Part 2: Color of facade (ISO Published 2011) ICS 81.040.20
- PNS ISO 25537:2012 – Glass in building – Silvered flat glass mirror (ISO Published 2008)
The standards will promote a common understanding among concerned sectors and provide a level playing field for businesses as well as ensure the safety of the general public.
