Objective: Protection of human health and safety. The proposed measure is a Commission Regulation for the permitted use of 222 health claims on food as referred to above under point 6 that have been assessed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). For the health claims referred to in the Commission Regulation, EFSA concluded that they are scientifically substantiated and the Commission, in agreement with Member States, consider that they comply with all the other relevant principles and conditions set out in Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006. Therefore they will be authorised for use on foods.
Scope:

This draft Commission Regulation concerns the list of permitted health claims made on foods, other than those referring to the reduction of disease risk and to children's development and health in accordance with Article 13(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on nutrition and health claims made on foods.
